Hastings is a co-founders of the KHC. He blogs at PermKent, explaining that Permaculture is "a design system based on ecological principles (according to its co-founder David Holmgren), which builds sustainable relationships between people and nature. Blogs build relationships with readers. The name of my blog is thus PermaKent."

Charles Hammill is the father of Chuck Hammill, and a privacy advocate, defender of liberty, political writer, real estate investor, landowner, and science fiction fan.

Lydia van Vogt is the widow and literary executor of A.E. van Vogt, the science fiction writer who died in 2000.
