This month the KHC will focus on Europe and The Baltic nations,
as our speaker addresses the following questions: What do Articles 5
and 6 of the
North Atlantic Treaty really specify?
What is the purpose of Article 5? What is and what is not an "armed
attack"? How do "little green men" and cyberattacks fit the framework
of Article 5? Does geography matter? What does the crystal ball say?

Jaak Treiman has served as Honorary Consul of Estonia for California since 1986. During his tenure he has met U.S. presidents Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush.
As an attorney, Treiman's practice focused on international relations and trade. He has degrees from USC (B.A., Political Science; J.D.), and the University of Chicago (M.A., International Relations).
